My husband and I are really enjoying this water filter. We really can taste a difference between Walter water and our previous water filters. I also love how the painted filer looks in our kitchen. It adds a nice little pop of color!
The only cautionary note I have is to pay attention to how full the bottom is - the seal between the top and the bottom doesn't keep the filter from leaking if the bottom gets over full. Beyond that, I think this is perfect. It is certainly the best water filter we've ever had!
After our city recently experienced some water issues, I decided it might not be such a bad idea to add an extra level of filtration to the water I'm getting from my city's water system. I knew I liked gravity-fed water filtration systems after growing up with them in my home in India, but they can generally be quite unattractive. But not the painted Walter, he's an absolute stud! In addition to providing great-tasting drinking water, the Walter is a work of art in my kitchen and an interesting conversation piece. It's also fun to have my friends do a blind taste test of water from the Walter vs from the tap, and they all prefer the Walter water!
